Bachelor's degree

Bachelor's degree is originally British and Northern American degrees obtained through the accumulation of points called credits that close First Honours years. A Bachelor's degree is the first higher education degree. The degrees awarded carry a designation related to the broad subject area such: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Business... Majors are countless and depend on the programme's range of choices. A Bachelor's degree requires accumulating 180 Ects credits.

The European Credit Transfer System (E.C.T.S.) focuses on the student and is based on the student's workload. Academic requirements are defined in terms of assessment and mastering of precise skills. E.C.T.S. makes it easier for every student to understand and compare different programmes in their home country or abroad. It also makes it easier for them to travel and to get their degrees approved anywhere.

A Bachelor's Degree is therefore obtained by adding up the credits awarded through the equivalent rating system in recognition of the subjects included in an initial course programme. . At the end of each year, the credits for all of the subjects will be added up and through the equivalent rating system , the student will have obtained X number of credits, without necessarily having taken any additional classes.

These credits will be recorded at the end of each year on a European Transcript of records throughout the whole course. Students need to obtain 180 credits by the end of the programme to get their European Bachelor's Degree. Taking the TOEIC English test is strictly compulsory. Additional credits can be obtained through other European foreign language tests or through extra-curricular activities (travel, student study tours, contests, humanitarian activities etc.)

Each accredited school is responsible for the validation of the credits accumulated by their students. Thus a student who starts a European Bachelor in a school and decides to attend another school in second, third or fourth year can carry on with their course and accumulate credits. The new school must be a public institution preparing for a national degree, or an accredited school. The student's original school will be responsible for supervising their studies.

EABHES transcribes the credits obtained by a student along his studies and publishes a transcript of records every year, clearly showing the student's achievements.

This transcript is composed of:
- Credits obtained for each course unit
- Results obtained in assessment according to the norms of the institution and the country (local grade)
- Ects Grades that grade each student among his class.

Extra fees for a complementary degree and the continuation of a Bachelor:

The total school fees for the European bachelor's degree of 1525€ for the whole programme can either be supported directly by the student or integrated by the Institute into the tuition fees of the accredited programme.

In all cases application to European bachelor's degree is made through the Institute, thus guaranteeing the authenticity of data transmitted. The School will either inform you payment facilities (lump sum or in instalments).

The overall cost includes:

• Enrolment fees
• Sending out the system of reference
• Outlay and administrative follow-up
• Sending out the transcript of records to the candidate every year
• English classes to prepare TOEIC exam for some programmes
• At the end of the programme, the final transcript sent to the student
• Diploma.

This sum does not include registration fees for the compulsory Language certification: usually TOEIC test or other language certification in French, German, Spanish or Italian language for native English-speakers. Fees need to be paid each time the candidate takes the test in order to reach the required level of language skill.
